Don't forget Bubbas Kontest. Make your homebrew antenna for two meters out of whatever junk you have in the junk box. It must transmit without blowing the finals in the transmitter; but it doesn't have to be a beauty. Just transmit between 20 and 50 watts and be supported by a 10 foot piece of 2 inch PVC pipe. How you adapt the antenna to the 2 piece of pipe is up to you. The antenna must be capable of attaching to 50 ohm coax that has a PL-259 on it. In other words, you must have a SO-238 of within 2 feet of the balance point where the antenna attaches to the 2" PVC pipe.

How long the antenna will be is up to you; but it must not droop lower than 7 feet above the ground. How ugly it is, how unconventional it may look the better it may be for you. Bubba does not like store-bought antennas.
